    Alberta Crop Insurance Decision Spreadsheet

    Just a note to highlight that AFSC has put out a new spreadsheet to help Alberta farmers (sorry Saskatchewan and Manitoba) with your crop insurance decision. A good tool.

    Charlie;

    Is more information on the new NISA avaliable for this spring been finalised yet?

    I see many farmers in more productive areas are looking at close to $20/ac crop insurance with SPE.

    How much more cash will we need on top of this for NISA? Has anyone done these calculations?

      NISA details - close but still in negotiation.

      Timing of NISA margin requirements/amount. I think you can use the $20,000 margin requirement per $100,000 production margin. Under the phase in, likely only to require a third this fall. Details still coming.
