Hard to believe anyone would till anything given the seeder systems we have today.

Hard to believe that some have to use tillage in order to use some of the seeding systems "designed" for zero till.

knifing in NH3 in the fall sure helps us out in the spring here in the swamps . found a cultivator shovel in the field when I was seeding one field . what horrible memories it brought back .

My neighbor bought a 40 foot Heliodor 2 years ago to do potholes. He used it this spring first time.
            Now that is wealth!

Might be great on cat tails. Here where it's COLD, blacker is better, so there is an advantage.

Some cultivation is good imo and ya shovels are expensive like everything else. Best dandelion and foxtail killer out there though.

Remember, be flexible what works one year may not be the best practice the next year. Also what works in one area may not be the best practice in another. There's merits to everything when conditions warrant them.
