Where is our Federal Agriculture Minister?

Gerry Ritz was in the headlines nearly every week when he had the portfolio.
Our new minister seems to be "laying low" as they say.
Seems to me that the Ag Minister should be more pro-active in the many aspects of Ag production in this country.
However, if his job is just a "semi-retirement" job for an old worn-out politician then its par for the course with the Liberals.

And gerry Ritz accomplished very little.

Look at our industry and you can see how he really did sfa.

    No reporting.

No plan for grain movement long term.

I won't defend the liberals but they have to analyse how far behind we are first.

Better question would be is where is the ag critic. Just as quiet.

Don't plan on heading much from him out in the West he's a pei minister that will know little or nothing about the type of agricultural practices or products you have. Grow some potatoes or open a small farm to fork operation maybe a dairy and you'd register. Don't think the folks down east had much use for Ritz though he was about as useful to them.

Best thing to happen to Alberta and Manitoba since they are closer to ports.
