    Wow, dust and smoke !

    dust , smoke and wind and no humidity, had forgotten what dust was like ! might be a good year to not have a lot of crop pre priced . this could be a costly year for some . been a long time since this country dried up like this . can seed anywhere you want , even wettest quarters

    Looks like a change on the way though. Three day rain event for next Tue through Thur. Two inches for this area, 1.5 for central Alberta according to the yr.no forecast I follow. I really like their forecasts - if it comes true they were initially predicting this last Friday so nearly 2 weeks ahead.

        Any more than 3/10" will be going backward into MUD zone. Some fields seedable, most still muddy low spots. Standing stubble worst. Oh but top is drying out. The big water is getting bigger every year. Ditches all cattails, barely work.

            Smelled the smoke last night. Strong smelling today and quite hazy. My best wishes go to those who are affected: The smoke is a grim reminder.
