About a third done.... but weeze small potatoes.

Sign your GPOs & TPAs, open those bin doors... now is as good a time as any. $12.00 canola around the corner, that's just the seed cost. Image what the stuff that will germinate and establish in dust will cost when its developed. Special new varieties in the pipe that live off humidity as low as 20% in 30 degree heat and a 50 Km/hr wind.

Hate to open up any ground over the next two days.

Way to early to tell with this weather, and every part of the province is different. All I know it looks the the eighties all over again. I guess one advantage with some of us older bastards, is we saw it before. For those that have not it will be a SHOCKER. Oh wait, it may even be a shocker for me, cause back then it was a little bin run seed and fuel. Farmed half and half, we farmed conservative so never really did have any land blow. But now when i see the money i put in he ground, I may be still be in shock. All I know is if it is the eighties, get ready for those who have not seen it. May be a entire new game plan for next year for some.

Perfect weather pattern. Hope it keeps it up!!!
Speaking for our farm only. I'm aware there's areas that need rain but after 7 or 8 years of way to much precipitation this is the most exciting run of weather we've had in a very long time.
