So how are guys getting enough phosphate with these 3/4 inch openers, does it work to midrow phosphate or spread? I don t see how that works or how you wouldn't burn the seed with that narrow of an opener and then if you midrow wouldn't that be too far?

Neighbor has used 1" BG openers and mid rowed most of phos in blend with N + S, for 12 years, his crops are fine. Must be studies somewhere. -
Just how much phosphate are you talking ? We used to put 80 lbs of 11-52-00 with a disc drill and no damage, so that's about 40 actual lbs.Comment

using mes lower salt toxicity, or if you have the right tank to do it you could put acceptable rates with seed and some to the mid rows or fert knives.Comment

Lots of guys here with get some Phosphate in the 46 and place it there,as long as you have been maintaining a good fertility program placement isn't as key.Comment

split apps work with either midrows or double knives would also work with other openers as long as you are getting some seed fert separation. Or you could just use a lot of Bullshit and apply liberally works for some people. LolComment
