For every dollar it saves- it costs us $ 1500 !!!
Millions paid out to an American Consulting Firm to implement this

Guess what - govt Won't admit it's wrong so full steam ahead.

What... there is a problem with LEAN?

    Who would have thunk it.

The ceo of the health district says there is no problem with someone cleaning toilets and then delivering food because they only touch the trays not the food.

That's paraphrasing but you can read her comments in the moose jaw times Herald.

I have witnessed lean being implemented into a manufacturing company and it will do nothing but add efficiency which is why many profitable private companies have implemented it.

Union culture, lack of transparency, lack of team playing will not work with Lean.
IMO this is why we are hearing of the resistance for health sector unions willingness to adopt lean.

I think lean itself is a good program and will increase the effective use of taxpayer money long term, there will be initial set up charges.

Open For Business : How the "h" do these dufuses get taken in by these scammers, one after the other? It should come out of their own pockets. I thought Brad Wall would be smarter. Maybe he should go to Mexico; probably very lean policies there and likely some carbon to capture, run the carbon it through the smart meter in the new stadium, see if that income will rebuild our deplorable highways, build some decent senior care homes, keep our schools and hospitals going.

John Black and Associates is the US firm who spreads the Lean Mantra.

Originally Japanese method but Black must have spotted it as a way to make millions by spreading the word

For lean vs non-lean ran companies compare Toyota vs GM over the last 20 years.

The originator of lean was American.
He didn't have a lot of interest for his services in the USA originally but did in Japan.

There is now a lot of demand for lean and is common among manufacturers around the world now including many ag manufacturers around Saskatchewan.
