    Lowest effort crops

Have some land too far away, Trying to sell it.

I might need to run another year of crop on there.

Is there a crop that is basically seed it and forget it until harvest?

Yup...its called rent-it-out. Someone else does it all.
Then offer to sell it to the tenant. Are you able to replace it with something closer to home?

Hmmm...rent it out. I thought nobody pays their rent anymore?

Yes, I have replaced it already with something closer to home, looking forward to it this year.

Have you thought about just greenfeeding it and advertising it as such.

It's a beautiful winter but there could be guys looking for hay.

Cows still grazing are saving hay for sure but unless it rains first off they may be short pasture earlier than they realize.

I thought farmers will chase land for miles!! I have never done that and will never start.

All you have to do is put an add in a local paper and the farmers who feel the property will fit for them will rent it. These days it doesnt take long for a farmer to plant and harvest an extra section. Then you dont have to worry about farming it yourself.

Also, it's like a crack addiction....let them farm it for a couple of years and they won't want to give it up!

Besides, the lowest effort crops are the lowest margin crops.
