    Ergot

Egypt says they have a zero ergot tolerance for imported wheat . Should be interesting.

With the invent of equipment like Bomill, colour sorters and gravity tables that most terminals and elevators have maybe it is time that ergot was classed as dockage not degrading.
The grain companies could take it out to meet commercially clean criteria.

....and keep the margins. Who is investing in the equipment?

Egypt is broke and is trying to find a way to get the wheat for free. Must be learning from the Chinese.

I agree to an extent but Ergot is a poison and dealing with high concentrations in dockage is troublesome.

Yeh, but zero tolerance, not possible. There's always a chance they'll "find" one in a load, Yepper, free load of wheat. Stay away from some regions.

So what is everyone's suggestion? Be like the deer shit - have the CGC set zero tolerance in delivery by farmers.

Even tho the elevators/terminals can clean it out and it was them that added it back in.

Zero tolerance is joke. I thought egypt changed their mind?
