Ha ha .. No thank you. The conventional farmer know what that is for. ... It goes with a free trip to mexico when you buy $100,000 or more of Monsanto's best hybrid canola seed and Roundup (TM) herbicide.

I was at a conference in Novemeber, one statement was, " its 2015, who doesn't want organic."
I never thought of it that way.
Monsanto is doing fine , they provide seeds to grow crop to feed the world in a very business like manner. They have the farmers where they want them.

Are you serious about the Mexico trips?

I was not serious about the Mexico trip. I dont know anything about any kind of bonuses from chem or seed companies.

Can remember early days of organic movement when fear of synthetic and artificial fertilizer was wide spread.
Anhydrous ammonia was rumoured to kill all organisms and leave soils sterile.
Monsanto was hated by many farmers for keeping glyfosate price high and out of economic reach of most of us.
Later, hatred was taken over by organic supporters.

Agreed, I never cared much for the bashing, I wanted to learn how to successfully organic farm. Like most conversations in life, it doesn't take long to sort through people who are striving for success and others that just want to criticize all that is wrong with any attempts to a solution.

I was lucky, there were some very good organic farmers in the general area and they were happy to help others improve in all aspects. The philosophers, well, I am sure they are still sharing their thoughts and opinions somewhere.

I am also fortunate to have neighbors that have a general regard for the fact that we are all trying to make a living at farming. I am of the same opinion. So far, no dramas, it's just farming.
