Has anyone looked stateside? I dont know the price of wheat but some elevators may find CAD$8.00/bu wheat a bargain.
The middle east is going to get occupied with "warring" , possibly a company in Dubai may buy a couple dozen containers of wheat inventory at $8.00/bu FOB Farm just to keep a little bread in the pantry in case of a crisis/shortage.

Hobby. MGEX wheat for July is $5.20 US. At a buck forty exchange its about $7.25 CAD. Then gotta get it there. Nearby months are even worse. They probably have enough of their own cheap wheat.

Aren't you glad you're organic. At least there is probably demand for yours if you grow any.

Oct 6/15 off Sept16....$5.81 at $1.30 exchange equals $7.55 CAD....Did Tom4G3 find a positive basis even after the exchange?

Maybe thats what he sells his brown bag seed for.... $8.00. Hahahahahahahha.

How is that different than what I posted. They won't pay you the Canadian price in US dollars. Also freight to get it there, either by truck if you're close enough or rail car. US elevator or Mill?

I still say we are getting treated better by the "locals" this year than we did the previous two years, especially compared to last year!

                Farmaholic,

You may have to look deeper into the US like California, Colorado, massachusettes,.
Every US elevator on the northern border has had enough calls from Canadian producers they are keeping prices low, they dont need it.

I stopped growing wheat many years ago, my farm was too small to grow wheat, I have a family to feed and clothe.
I tried wheat once organic , it worked out well, but its not my thing anymore. I guess you can say I am not a very good wheat farmer/marketer.
Lots and lots of wheat grown here, it fits between Canola in rotation very well.
