    Fire sale on Nobbs

Anyone know the details on the Nobbs family farm in Bonanza,AB? Full line of equipment in Ritchie Bros in March. Almost all new equipment. 7500acres of land too at auction. Looks like a heck of a payday for them!

If you google Nobbs family farm it appears they went from seeding 1500 acres in 1997 to 20000 today. Also recognized as an Outstanding Northern Alberta family farm in 2015. Odd they are shutting down, lots of very nice equipment.

Was the honor the kiss of death someone else mentioned or are they cashing in their chips realizing who needs this headache? Why don't these behemoths last?

Can you imagine the size of dice these operations roll? It would have to wear thin after a while. Wouldn't you have to ask yourself, why?, sometimes?

Some of the combines have very low hrs on them. If there are payments on them you gotta turn the wheels. Many operations would be far better off growing more slowly.

People would be surprised what these large farms actually own themselves..
One comment around here was one large farmer doesn't own his own shorts..
