We all know the Baltic index is very low but a guy on another site said for the first time ever there are no ships in the North Atlantic.there are ship tracking sites on the net to prove it. Sorry no links from phone.

There are 541 tankers off the coast of malaysia?am i reading that right?

By filtering the ships just for tankers (left side tool bar) I get 101 tankers off and anchored in Malaysia right now. But unless you have subscribed to the satellite service (fee) you only see ships near coasts on the live map. (within range of ship to shore radio) Anything in mid Atlantic, pacific, or any ocean is not shown without having the subscription service for satellite positioning.Originally posted by cottonpicken View PostThats a pretty cool map site.

I subscribe to marine traffic. The AIS dies 30 miles sometimes 50 miles from shore. Good reason these maps have dick in the middle.
