furrow... can you imagine the "ego" deflation/beating those poor guys took accepting anything other than green paint?

    They probably need counselling.

What a blatant display of disrespect for the Gods of Green Paint. Banished from the Kingdom for ever!

I buy what I think fits the needs of my farm not what strokes my ego!

It's real simple a new Deere tractor compared to a blue one is like running a first gen 9400. . Just saying I've ran a lot of different colors the tec is not their in some stuff.
Yes these guys probably couldn't see day light so choose yellow.
All I know is every time I picked a different color I got F$&ked.

We are going to try RED..
        Traded our 9100 for a 450 Steiger..

Compared prices on a 2012-9360R, and the 2012, 450 Steiger..With the same options..PS,PTO,there Best GPS,800 tires..The Green guys want a 2% fee for there interest free..Red guys charged us $250.00.Got interest free for 2 yrs..zero payments for 1 yr..And the price difference was..$41,000 less for the Red one.

If these guys are still solvent three yrs from now JD green may buy them back and then they are back in the club with SF3. Staying solvent with leased equipment will be the key here.

It really shouldn't matter what color the equipment is as long as the dealer takes care of issues.

I have heard alot of bullshit in the last year but when the local says to go back to the dealer you bought it from on a warranty issue ... he isn't helping himself get the next deal.

So how much does that tec relates to bpa to make up that $40,000 ? ZERO
All Red\Blue\Green have about the same "tec" in comparable tractors. I call b\s on the 9100 comparison. I have driven most colors as well as have many others here - I call b\s on that one
The tec may be different but not 15 years ahead of red\blue - that is complete bunk.
              Just an example.
              A new Vers 500 hp wheeled - $280,000
              A new Deer 500 hp wheeled - $430,000
Both will pull the same size drill at the same speed for the next 15 yrs and get the same yield per acre because tractors don't add to yield... Resale is meaning less cause your out that $100,000 plus for 15 years for nothing.
              The "Club" lol.

I pulled the trigger on an aftermarket in frame rebuild kit for a 903 Cummins.
I had smashed together some trade in prices and interest rates. Then a good friend of mine stopped in to visit. We were having a little drink talking about conventional farming. I offered my thoughts on trading my antiques. We went into my shed and he said, " you know, at my farm after planting,
my tractors sits in a shed just like this one for 11 months.....no other business in the world allows brand new equipment to sit idle for 11 months."

True but you can't seed or combine year round.

Road building slows in this province. In my area they got a solid 30 days in on highway 42. Lol.

Remembered stories of old timers hiring horses and slips out for road and rail construction. Can you imagine the rail beds or road work that could get done today with the 400 tractors and pull dozers etc we have today.
Likely get a pile of #42 rebuilt in that 30 days.
