Ok, someone is ****in lying here!! Who can pay for their fertilizer with a credit card? All I hear is whining from the retailer that the margins on fert are too tight to allow CC payment like you can on seed and chemical? Comments?

Haven't ever heard of no credit cards allowed for fertilizer?

FNA fert plant start-up? How's it going, I'm not on board?

I heard their goal isn't to drive fert prices down but supply fert at wholesale cost to it's member shareholders. Then pay dividends to the same for extra product sold to retailers at wholesale. Wholesalers make money.....

What I meant was if you order fertilizer the retailer will use your line not his.

It would get put on my fcc account before belle plaine had loaded the truck.

Retailers have zero risk just an easy 100 bucks a tonne.

Fna will never build a plant.

If they were remotely interested in fertilizer they would be building storage sheds and cutting deals with manufacturers.

Bucket. My point was the our retailers don't want payment with CC. 2-3% on $500t is $10-15/t. Maybe that is the difference in price between retailers at times?

Not that they use our credit before we get the fert.

Slow down there... that's declared factory value... what it would cost my insurance to buy it back if we effed a load and going to a storage facility not a retail outlet

The big boys all take CC here and only need payment after being shipped or after the last load. The independents don't want to and seem to think they can use farmers cash to finance their operations.

All retailers here will use credit cards only if they are paid the day you get delivery. One independent will not charge me interest for 3 months and let me use my card. He is a little more pricey to start, but at least he knows how to read your soil tests.
