    Surprise,Surprise

There was going to be a deficit no matter which party was elected. The Boogeyman of deficit financing was real, but it applied to the sound fiscal managers , the cons, as well as the not ready libs.

Pretty much have to run a deficit when your running thirty billion in interest cost payments.

At what interest rate does it gobble up 100% of tax revenues?

Anyone with a functional brain (about 5-10% of the populace) knew this would happen. Without the oil patch humming, Canuckistan is just another third world backwater. These same people also know that under Trudope the deficit will quickly balloon to 20 billion next year and continue to rise from there. Will the marijuana industry replace the oil patch. One can only hope.

$1.2 billion to be spent on Syrian refugees.
Few billion to study why missing native women were killed......even though the RCMP reports show clear answers already.
We will spend billions to change the climate.
Will Alberta will become a have-not province.

Get out the popcorn and booze for these upcoming budgets.

Fior the 2007/2008 fiscal year Canada's net debt federal and provincial was 822 billion. That debt rose to 1.227 trillion by the fiscal year 2013/2014. In that year 61.7 billion dollars of interest were payed collectively on all Canadian debt. The first thing the progressives on here wii say to deflect from this insanity is how much debt Harper added, which is true. The difference imo is in the attitude looking forward. Notely, Trudeau, Wynn, Salinger and everyone's darling Nenshi all preach increasing deficit spending and increasing taxes. Canadians are in for a sharp reduction in our disposable income and future prosperity brought on by their own misguided self interest.

              Fiscal Conservative is an oxymoron

They have Always been the highest spending governments whether Provincial or Federal.

But if you keep telling people over and over and over that they are good with money.. Guess what .... Voters believe them.

Kind of like liberals are social reformers.

It's all a big ****ing smoke show and I cant believe anyone bothers to vote. Put me in the debate room asking the questions. Like when I had old ralphy cornered at casino regina asking him about canada selling their gold reserves. Lights where on but nobody was home, everyone please please wake up.

If society is borrowed to the nuts, why would gov be any smarter? They are elected peers, living the same lifestyle, for today to hell with tomorrow.

Actually this "climate change" bullshit is the ONLY place that the future comes up! Why bother screwing up near term for some guess about 50-100 years from now? And they will look DUMB as shit when it gets TOO COLD to grow crops here.
Canada should applaud/encourage/hasten any bit of hope to WARM the HELL up!!!
