Friday Crop Report on a Thursday!

Well were getting down to almost Cocktail Friday. What a week of awful fall weather. We received another 1.3 inches to what ever the total is on rain for the year. Creeks are running again. Sloughs are growing and it is looking like we will be going into winter the same as 2010 mud bowl freeze up. Please Please give us a drought not a two month scare but three year dry down.
So in the last week total harvest moved ahead by a crawl. We are now left with 160 acres of oats. They are still a 2 but if the winter closes in it will be burnt in spring.
Soy was done last Friday with Wow best crop ever. Reston won over here with 42.7. But we had a perfect year for soy. It was wet in August and they love wet. Flowered well and had a great start. Tall and didn't loose the bottom pods. So for four years total it goes like this.
Great, Oh F$%k, FROST, Wow I need to grow more.
Oats is surprising for what looked like shit is actually yielding not bad.
So basically most or a lot of guys are ripping this fall on our side of the valley, But with the snow all have stopped until the weekend. Were so muddy most wouldn't believe how wet it is again.
Have a great week and to all those harvesting the last of 2015 good luck were going to need it.
Be safe its only a crop.

Good luck with your last 160 acres.

Are the Reston soybeans a RR1 variety?
(Can you use your own seed)

Bring on more moisture!! Sorry SF3 but not all of us are in your situation. We basically grew a crop on reserve from yr before!! We've had great rains since end mid July till now and would take another inch before freeze up. To me it's still dry till I see water standing, which I haven't yet.

If we could ..we would share our excess water with the less fortunate..
