Still on the election, this is kinda funny...

Like many millennials, after trying to strike out into the big vast world on his own,

Justin Trudeau has returned home, to the place where he was raised (24 Sussex Dr.),

( finding it just a bit too scary out there in the real world )

On the flip side, Mr. Harper woke up, to quite likely his worst nightmare.

He woke up as a regular Calgary citizen, with a Muslim as his Mayor,

the NDP running his province, and the Liberals running his country....

Trudeau is not moving into 24 Sussex Dr., he's moving into Rideau Cottage. Seems it's not up to snuff for young JT, atleast not till $10,000,000.00 is spent renovating it.

Alberta's budget is actually expanding spending and social programs and running deficit to 6b going to 40b in 2020?i dont know I had to stop reading need to drink a few beer and read the whole thing so i laugh instead of cry. Non voluntary austerity is going to be a lot worse then voluntary. God help us all.

Not cheap to keep up historical buildings. But way more costly not to keep them up.

newguy, I agree we should keep those historical buildings up. Spent 4-5days in Ottawa a couple summers ago and thoroughly enjoyed it. If we can work it, I'd sure like to go out for July 1st, 2017 Should have used the "wink" icon with last post.

funny perfecho - I guess some posters like to cherry pick their facts like Daylate alluded to on another thread. Blame the renovations on the Liberals, the AB deficit on the NDP.

I am a little curious Grassfarmer, the Alberta Ndp is projecting 4 consecutive budget deficits totalling 37 billion by 2019. Who are we supposed to blame? They are making a conscience choice to overspend and under tax. In their defence government's all across Canada except for Saskatchewan are making the same mistake. At some point the bubble will burst. Progressive politicians lack of foresight amazes me, they are supposed to be the most educated and conservatives like myself the Neanderthals. Anybody can spend money, it takes real intelligence to know when enough is enough.
