I'm using express sg to control my RR canola in my wheat stubble. It's going to canola next year. The window for using it further is closed now I would say.

          Farmaholic,

Sorry, it was funny to me, probably sarcastic to others. It is more of an offer of perspective. Farmers are really getting dependant on canola and the seed companies' technology. The farmer pays to use the technology but....volunteers, and outbreaks like RR wheat in Oregon in a few years ago can be detrimental to market acceptance of that same farmers produce without any repercussions or penalty to the seed company.
What an efficient and less expensive way to introduce a new seed technology than an "accidental" release.

They are going to introduce it as a tool for farmers to choose, it will be another "accidental" release, then it will stay. Ooooops , somehow it was accidentally released prematurely. Oh, well remember the cost of the Triffid flax episode? Well that was too much for the farmers to bear, so this time just let it stay in the system. Yaaaaay new technology for us to be more productive and efficient. "They" (end users) are just gonna have to take it. Stupid consumers, they dont even know that its safe.
Im not totally against progress but The point being, it will be imposed, not intorduced.
I will now put on my tin foil hat and set out into the world.

Ok, fair enough. Somehow I thought there was economic discomfort with Triffid flax.
Either way, i will continue with the tin foil hat.
