daylate, too much of it would have went to seed, it was that early not to do anything. Millet, Volunteer canola and flax, wild oats. It is a mess. I will get the Canada and Sow thistle, dandelions and hopefully the cleavers that would have rebooted in the spring.

Then there is the nutrients and valuable moisture(on this farm anyway that that carpet of green would have been robbing from next years potential.

Otherwise I fully agree with you.

      I agree farma
I am using round up with express SG where I will be seeding peas and heat where canola will go .
Some guys using distinct , the DuPont mix mentioned above.
I generally just use 6 oz 2-4D with round up in canola stubble if needed where cereals will be seeded in spring

Ok. Ya makes sense. I was picturing just budding or flowering volunteer RR at the most mature stag which is all we ever have this time of year. I've grown over 90% RR for 14 yrs on a 30 to 50% rotation and honestly RR volunteers are my last worry. On seeded canola ground I use bromitrol/ roundup for burn off. Been on that for 6 or 7 years. And last couple I've been using express/roundup ahead for cereal ground.
And even that depends on spring weather. Sometimes it's Nothing ahead of canola if it's been cool and nothing g growing g yet. But fall is just straight roundup. And every acre has got straight liter of the 540 stuff for years as a post harvest. Just started yesterday. Bit early but have a few fields that have a lot of cleavers that if left 2 or 3 weeks could be close to going to seed.

I seriously think we need to be adding "something" to the glyphosate to mitigate the resistance issues that exist or are develpoing.

          Like others have pointed out.

Monsanto and Bayer are working at developing a new herbicide to supress the volunteers in each of their technologies you pay to use. Its called Pandora.

OK hobby, no winking icons or ones wearing shades so I don't know if you're excercising your humour and sarcasm. The name of the product is a little too ironic.

              Too funny..... what a guy.

No Sir. Not the Monsanto or Syngenta brands. The 360 grams per liter product. So, 540 - 630 g a.e./acre.
