Got the Crop Insurance story straight

Well on the phone with crop insurance, and was
explained to me what this BS is the cattails. What
I was told is that in 2011 areas that were flooded
out , then in 2012 too wet to seed again, and by
fall nothing was done with those areas, either
mowed, sprayed or disked, then in 2013 if not
seeded again they will not get counted as to wet
to seed. Is that totally unfair?

I have worked up low spots in the fall
only to have more water in them and
    nothing soaking up moisture.

Or had more cattails growing the next
    year.

No problem with changing the program but
do it before the year starts.

I asked about this specifically when I
in their office in March doing
endorsements. I also bumped to the 100
dollar for too wet. The girl said it
was the same as the last year.

Well from what I understand bucket, then you
are eligible for to wet to seed if you worked
      them up last fall

What about dumb asses like me who sprayed left
some trash to catch snow because my whole life was
spent begging for rain, knew i could chop it in the
spring which was the latest one ever, then rained a
couple times a week,"if your going to be dumb, you
        got to be tough",lol.

Not last year since it has always proven to be a waste of time.

The end result is the same - its too wet to seed. That's all that should matter.

Maybe this is Mother Nature reclaiming some of the wetlands that were drained in the past.

grrr, cattails are growing on hills. The
                hills were never drained.

So the facts are its the old cat tail stands, not the new ones. Makes a lot of sense actually. Cottonpicken I understand you. I remember a time when wanted more moisture also. Just have to go back a bit. I actually had unharrowed stubble that I used to plant into, just a good chopper and spreader maintenance on the combine and plant into that.
