Sheep river (High River, Okotoks), Cougar creek (Canmore), Elbow river (Bragg Creek, Redwood Meadows to Calgary), what we are witnessing right now is a disaster.

Towns of Black Diamond, Turner Valley, Longview also under flood waters. Transcanada is blocked at Canmore and blockage at Golden.

This is a flash flood that has never been experienced in southern Alberta.
Torrential rain over the past 24 hours.

parsley . . . huge rush in several Calgary neighborhoods (along the Elbow River) to build burms. Soil being dumped on plastic sheets to protect from heavy rainfall and to avoid erosion.

            Crazy situation right now . . . .

Times like this i think-i wish i had an annoying friend
who would always brag about his cabin on bragg
creek-i'd be like who's bragging now.

Pretty awful though,i feel sorry for them.

It sounds like they have lots of volunteers for
sandbagging, etc....just spoke to a cousin who
lives 2 minutes from Elbow River.

cotton . . . brag creek to millerville to longview (cowboy trail) is gorgerous territory as this region skirts along the borders of Kananaskis country.

have personally traveled to many parts of the world and k-country is a favorite for me for its sheer beauty.
