    Liberty Rates

Curious as to what those who grow Invigor canola have found to be the most effective rates of Liberty applied. We top up our 1.35L/acre Liberty rate with 1/3 rate centurion and most years have very good control. One year in particular was less than impressed of the control of some larger flixweed but for the most part these rates seem to be sufficien. Thoughts?

Liberty at 1.35 rate. Select at 1/3 rate. Spray Liberty a second time just before the canola totally covers the ground.

What sf3 said. Do not grow invigor with the
expectation of excellent weed control. Somewhat
acceptable is all u get with liberty and will be
paying for what it misses in subsequent years.
That saying: I run at 1.35 min with 50 acres/case
centurion. Spray on sunny warm days and pray
for some kind of control and not just some
temporary yellowing a few weeds and grasses

Plus use some water. Best compromise is ten gallons with medium nozzles, not course.

Bumping the Liberty up to 1.6L /ac does help some. At
least 10gal H20. Warm nights help the most!

            Cheers!

              nice warm sunny day
              1.35 l liberty
              80 acres/case centurian
              10 gallons water/acre
60 psi or more really get those fine
              drops
              tough on windy day
do not use air induction nozzles
if you think you need to respray it is
well worth it especially a thinner stand
which comes with the big seed ie low
number per 1000 grams seed weight

Liberty at 1.5l per ac plus centurion at 40 or 60
acres a case 11 gal/ ac water no more than 12
                mph spraying speed.

What we usually do is fill 1200 gal tank at normal
rate 1.35l per acre and centurion at 60 ac per
case. Then instead of spraying at 10 gal per ac
spray it at 11 gal per acre at 12 mph Use twin
cap dual direction nozzles with two 02 nozzles in
                  them.
