    Viterra

Does anyone know what is going on with Glencore and Richardson. The changeover seems to be taking forever. Is Glencore trying to sell its' Canadian grain operation to Cargill?

My guess is that would not be allowed.

I would surely hope that it wouldn't be allowed.

My buddy at Viterra tells me that the restructuring and
transition is taking much longer than originally
anticipated (by about 3 or 4 months) It's a whole new
culture to adapt to. On the Richardson and Agrium
side, they are awaiting final approval from the Govt,
and then there is an appeal period. So all this is far
from done. And no, nothing else is for sale. Glencore
is a direct competitor of Cargill, not just in the grain
trade, but in a whole bunch of other industries (energy
        for one). Hope that helps.

Viagra, is the same old boring, snoring
company it has always been. Hopefully it
will be broken up and sold a scrap sooner
than later. The company is and always has
          been a joke!!!!

Reading between the lines, glencore would be happy
as a broker and getting producers to sign their
production to them. Then selling or contracting out
their physical grain handling if they could find a way
to do it while not giving an edge to competitors.

I still think we should boycott our old SWP remember them shares we used to have that we got screwed out of? If someone would mention boycott and get things rolling I would be right in there reason being we can buy them out for 10 cents on the dollar. Anyone remember getting one third of a cent on the dollar, how short of memory we are. We should own this company it is ours.

From what I understand, the Richardson deal is already approved. The Agrium deal however is a totally separate thing.
