    Lentils

What are large Green lentils going to do?

Still sitting on 2011 and 2012 crop. 18 cents is
    insulting.

Best thing they can do is stay down in price until
June so seeded acres come down and supply and
demand comes back into balance. There's still an
obscene amount of green lentils sitting in farm
storage. Very cheap protein when put into
          perspective.

Clean 30 metric tonne to 99.8% clean. Keep uniform sample. send in, from that sample, a phytosanitary test for the CFIA. Bag 22 metric tonne in 25 kg bags on pallets, shrink wrapped.
I would think export them to India. There are a billion people in India.
Worst case scenario, call Govt of Canada and tell them you have 22Mt of clean bagged lentils in place to ship in case of emergencies/natural disasters.

ooops, worse case scenario, you do a germ test, if they are good germ you plant them yourself, or sell to a neighbor.
The only thing you are out is the cost of bagging and marketing.

I think if you look around 2012 X2 Large Green will pay closer to 20 cents/lb delivered. We are at 19 on regular #2. Most of you are correct though, there is so much #2 product from 2011 that this market will struggle to do much unless total wreck in 2013.
