    Cold weather far south

    Noticed freezing temps this morning all he way down to Texas. Is this not going to be another stress on the winter wheat? Or is it a wait and see for sure before markets react?

    It might be a couple of weeks early for it to do anything. If I'm not mistaken it doesn't come out of dormancy until late February early march. They were colder in Scottsdale than Saskatoon most of last week.(daytime)

      This should encourage follow-through
      buying interest in U.S. wheat as crop
      damage is possible. If these temps are
      colder-than-forecast, funds might target
      wheat this week. We'll all know soon.

      U.S. wheat now appears priced
      competitively in the world market (IMO)
      which should limit further downside risk
      right now.
