If you have rye for sale still, there are lots of buyers looking. Post your stuff on here and we can take care of that for you.

Rye has become such a small crop in Canada that StatCan doesn't even survey for rye and include it in the three annual stocks reports.

StatCan does produce seeded and harvested acres, yield and total production.

A good place to look for Canadian S & Ds is at:

          http://www.agr.gc.ca/mad-dam/index_e.php?page=intro

A good place to look for world rye S & D is the FAO web site at:

          http://faostat.fao.org/site/339/default.aspx

          There, you happy now? Grin!

Grasslands Marketing center in Maple Creek Sask.

I have heard some $12.50/bu prices
also at pioneer grain in Dunmore Ab.

When you call there tell them Jag Farms told about
            it.

            Thanks

Is this for real? I have a quarter in the ground right now, and am a first time grower. Neighbor got 65 bushels on summerfallow, with zero inputs. Imagine if you tried! Sold it for 3.50. I'm wondering what are the new crop prospects? Spring rye is an option, but only for a few that would have a clue, and it comes with a serious performance hit as well. How much was put in? Will prices hang around into new crop under these circumstances?
