I can fully inderstand why YOU would think a man wanting to sell, bargaining, and then selling to a man wanting to buy, is:

1. not democratic
2. morally reprehensible
3. socially irresponsible
4. dynamically dysfunctional

and

5. not reasonable


it is diametrically opposite of what you represent in your postings:

1.TOWERemocracy means agreeing, and accepting diversity, whereas YOU advocate one method, one system fits all, full steam ahead.

2.TOWER: Force supercedes voluntary participation.

3. TOWER: Equality of opportunity should be overshadowed by central planning with favored/chosen participants.

4.TOWER: Work towards maintaining control as opposed to creating wealth.

5.TOWER: Your way or the highway.

You have not concept of democracy.

Technically, "designated area" growers are NOT allowed to market their wheat or barley... because freedom to choose who a sale can be made with, is required for a market to exist in the first place.

Parsely, if the contractee was working specifically for the board to do research for the board on matters of strategy or planning, than the contract would be held by the board. Much the same as hiring a moderator or a company like Strive to do strategic planning, governance training, or companies involved in media training etc. However, that is seldom if ever made public.

While it may have happened in other board situations, it doesn't make it right, just questionable governance, or a board unable to trust the CEO they hired to do that job.

Directors direct. CEO executes.

The position was a staff position and should of been ultimately decided by the CEO as to termination. Ahhhhh the CWB.

Tom4cwb and Parsley. if you two can't put your own words in someone elses mouths you don't know how to argue against what was actually said. Democracy is the rule of the majority, you know that as well as I do.

fransisco, there is nothing in the makeup or mandate of a market whether it is voluntary or not that has anything to do with respecting and honouring everyones rights.
