Predictions on what the FPC basis will be?

What do you guys think the FPC basis be when it comes out in the spring, I'd like to lock in some HRS for next year but depending on what kind of basis the CWB gives us we could end up netting anywhere between 6-8 bucks a bu.

Even if i could get a 0 basis i might be tempted to take it right now.

But who knows i suppose it depends how much those a@@holes in WPG want to funnel back into the pool.

Sure wish i could lock in 8.00 like they can in the states!!

biggest risk of selling wheat right now is if come spring it is higher then basis will be horrible to bring FPC back in line with PRO.

        example:

if i sell mgex wheat now @ 325/t and at spring time the PRO is 290/t and futures have risen to 340/t then the basis will be around -50 bucks.

Point is basis reflects POOL not cash prices.

CWB is such a joke any farmer with half a brain has realised that by now.

The basis has usually been the best earlier in the year. Of course anything can happen. So why don't the CWB get off their ass and give a good basis now, like all others in the open market trade are doing?

I feel they will have it so out to lunch no one will take it.
We will have the same system in place till farmers, Real farmers get their head out of the sand and realize that the time has come for the CWB to do its last sale and let us get on with our lives. The crow is prime example promised billions for the program to farmers then Lib and NDP etc discussed till farmer got a payment that was pathetic to say the least. Will the CWB debate be the same, will we loose the greatest increase in grain prices since 1979 because of inaction and then when were on the grain cycle down be full open marketers. Need to make big money now to survive the bad years that will follow.
CWB way we will get peanuts now and need fed support when next down cycle comes.

so much hinges on the value of our dollar vs. the USA, if the USA goes into recession causing their dollar to drop, I think we'd be pretty happy to be locked in right now, today? no??? if we wait to lock in till March, and their dollar drops in the mean time, we'll loose money? no???
