    THE CWB QUESTION: "the PREMIUM"

    Chaffmeister,

    You said;

"Do you want to keep the Single Desk:
    Yes ________
    or
    No ________

    Pretty simple."

    WRONG.

I say instead the question needs to be:

"Do "Designated Area" wheat and barley growers need the opportunity to sell their grain for the highest price offered for their grain?

    Yes ________
    or
    No ________"

This is what the question should be about... IF YOU SHOW US A PREMIUM... THEN WE WILL SELL YOU OUR WHEAT and BARLEY!

No more CWB: distortions, deceptions, or distractions... SHOW US THE $$$!

The issue is not about economics, Tom4CWB.

The issue is about farmers being to sell the grain they grew, to a willing buyer.

That is the bottom line issue.

The CWB can easily create Pool X, buy grain from one thousand of their most loyal single desk supporters, pay them $40.00 a bushel, and tout the pool returns as economic proof.

The issue is about being able to sell what is ours.

      Parsley,

I think you missed the point...

If the CWB had no "Slaves" from which to extract the $40/bu... they couldn't pay it to their favoured freinds that keep them in power.

Please note... The CWB is not part of the question... and should not be.

I should have the opportunity to sell to the highest bidder... that is all that this questions asks... should I have that right?

I noted that you used the term Designated Area

        in your question.

That infers Western farmers continuing under the CWB's umbrella.

As long as we have a designated area, the single desk mentality will be pervasive.
