What the Hell are the Liberals Up to now!

Just reading the Western Producer since it rained 2 inches in the last two days. The Liberals and the NDP are joining to press through parliament this fall Changes to the CWB that will keep it in place and not allow any changes to take effect in dismantling it in any way.
WHAT THE HELL IS GOING ON>
Ralph and Wayne Ester believe that the CWB offers a real benefit to the Canadian Farmers. HA show me the benefit.
This is why we need a majority Government and this time Regina Wascana needs to wake up and Send Ralph to retirement.

"The Governor in council may make regulations regarding the terms and conditions of export licences"
I dont see how the law could be any clearer.
Leave 'the board' alone.Just harmonize licensing procedures accross the country.
Politically theres nothing to attack.Thats why the cwb and the libs are so quiet on the issue.
      This is their achilles heel.

Ralph Goodale and Wayne Easter are wrong if they think more legislation will work, very close to 20,000 farmers voted for choice. The number would be even higher for wheat. These farmers aren't going to change, or go away. This is Canada and choice is what our country values as a principle. In the end choice will win, but it will take pressure from provincial gov'ts starting in Alberta.

Well of course, what else can the Liberals do?

They recognize CWB performance is dismal. They see the contempt for the board growing exponentially. They can see that the directors and management are inept. They can see the writting on the wall for the CWB as well as anyone.

BUT, They have to protect their patronage haven at all costs, it's priority, it's what's truly important. Sure the notion of farmer prosperity might be quaint at best, but it's certainly not even in the league of patronage appointments, nefarious money sourcing and the best interests of urban voters, liberal voters.
