    Durum Bids?

In our area bids for #1 durum are between 8.95 and 9.20. Wondering what others are seeing?

Local Richardson Pioneer, in their pricing e-mail, states: "Protein on durum, We are not paying up or down on protein 10 and 15 pro are the same price."

Always dreaming up new and innovative ways to kick a guy in the nuts.

And next year when their is no protein. Or everyone prices 11 px durum.

It makes it easier all the time to grow shittier grain.

**** quality. We have raced down to black Sea quality.

          Stellar absolutely stellar.

Isn't it bushels time price? Grow higher volume wheats then or take your chances all your neighbours are so your going to grow high quality and next year the price will be up. Maybe price low protein durum for farther out and maybe there will be protein premiums again and you make even more money since low protein isn't discounted. But it's easier just to bitch right

The majority of the world wants a 2CWRS quality with 13.0 protein. That makes the best flour or ingredients that the processors want. Japan wants 1CWRS high pro but they want it at 11.5 price.

Durum the target is a 1 or 2CWAD and into North Africa a 3CWAD spec. 13 pro is the target protein.

The Combine to Customer program offered by CIGI is great at explaining this and more. I couldn't get the link to paste properly. Go to CIGI website for details on dates this winter
