Thankfully our crop came up uniformly. Don't have this to deal with but have a wild amount of second attempt stuff where the established crop shut down then rebooted when bigger rains came along. And alot of undergrowth of volunteers and weeds. I don't want to wait for a killing frost.

We had that MESS in 2002, half green half ripe, sprayed out the green, combined 17 bu/acre barley baled the half green feed.

I would cut the barley for green feed, high feed prices and can easy sale. The canola I would leave till mid oct and straightcut.!

we had good germ . and only one growth.
but some of the wheat stunted from the drought has a crop of volunteer rr canola
just about as high as the wheat.
                makes things fun.
                cut high.

2 crops in one year, awesome! Did you see the forecast for Calgary next week? I flew over that area today and there are many green fields and several 2- toners.
