Every farm needs bins for most of the crop. Hoppers are the preferred choice. But grain bags have a place. We have a area that all are bags are at. Yes all grain comes home to a standard location. You can monitor and patch if needed. Easy to unload if their at home in winter. Just as easy or easier than a bin.
All bags are getting better as the days of the silage bag are long gone. Did use every thing from Argentina bags to UpNorth. Right now we get from Grain bags Canada or Flamans.

            "Grain bags have a place".
In the ditch, in the fence line, on the neighbours land.
Once it's in the ditch, it's the queens problem!
Empty grain bags around here are referred to as, "the millionaire's litter".

Sorry SF3, I know they have value but lazy employees empty bags from rented land While the big farmer is on vacation somewhere warm. They don't bother to look until the following spring. By then the bits and pieces have blown around. The farmer then wonders if it's "his" or somebody else's.

They get pushed into a bush, blow around in ditches,or get left exactly where they were unloaded. At least that's what I have seen. This will be a big problem down the road. It will end up getting to the point where if you buy a grain bag you have to bring in the used one to get another. Some guys just don't care where the plastic ends up after they are done with it and cleaning up takes time and effort, maybe a little pride too.

I agree hobby , but no one can have enough bins for a big crop that only comes once in a while . it is an overflow system . around here most guys just roll them up with a baler and recyclers come to get them .
