Rain may as well stay away here. Would like to start picking up some canola tomorrow. So I can be let down there too and pretend to be grafeful. Denial!!! What ever gets me through the day...

    Be safe.

      Furrow,

I see DTN precip maps put rainfall at .5-.75 inches through Saturday for central AB into SK. Tis the time of year for showers... if frost stays away... that would be wonderful! Canola filling nicely!

Frost would be dez-ass-ter-ous on August 23, right across the board - much like $42 oil.

Global Saskatoon mentioned the F word last night for Sunday or Monday night. That's a long way away for the weatherman.

              Raining here too. Just lovely.

Canola ready to swath peas dessicated. Wheat dessicated. Wheat testing 21. Peas still mushy 7 days after spraying.

Going to straight cut the first 2 quarters of canola because the swather would sink out of sight.

Radar shows little shower heading for Regina, too. Won't last long. I think cutting under water is permitted.

40 to 50mm forecast here starting tomorrow. Trouble is, it is raining now. What timing!

The planes are busy. Everyone scared of frost.
