Like I said if everyone declares they could have QUINCLORAC residue the companies would have no choice but to buy the canola. Why the heck should we be punished for their marketing screwups. if a chemical is registered for use in Canada, counties that buy from us allready know that canola in Canada contains QUINCLORAC.

China has become a large buyer of Canadian Canola. Black Leg in Canola cost our CDN grain handlers m$... China at times does self serving trade regs... is what they do. We can separate Clever Canola... and be sure China does not get it. It is only smart to prevent the problem... with a little planning.

This is not about lawsuits or folks taking advantage of each other. And just like black leg into China barriers, Clever will be resolved as well.

Hopefully we will have good weeding tools... and happy customers as well!

Tom we are going to trust every other farmer and every player in the industry when we can't even trust our certified seed growers.

Or maybe you can explain to us better how Triffid flax got into the system.

Tom explained it a while back that it was the farmers fault.

Never mind that government agencies tried to flush the system over a decade ago but some guys didn't empty the bins.

Or maybe some seed growers just trickled it thru their common seed sales?

Bottom line farmers who did buy certified seed or from reputable sellers got the bill in either lower prices or constant testing.

Oh and let's not forget the mix up at the breeders stage either that farmers got the bill but the breeders got paid to reconstitute flax varieties.
