    Combine spotting in Sask

    Heading west from Regina on hwy 1. Found first combines in the field. Six bumble bees doing peas just west of swift current.

      Combines going in SW Sask in peas and Lentils hearing yields 12-17 bu per acre so far.

            That's a really low yield for peas. Maybe that farm is organic ?
            Will 8-12 bu/acre be enough to feed the world? I don't think its enough to pay for the bumble bees !

              Peas did not look good from road. did not go into them. that 15 bushel number sounds pretty much like what i would of guessed from the buzz by..but hard to say.

                Did the remaining winter wheat this PM, bleached a bit but yielded good( some where around 45 ) which suprised me.
