MacKenzie Columbus Lillian neepawa were popular varieties.

Not sure what's wrong with them.

With today's inputs they still grow very well.

With abbey, lillian, and eatonia on their way out, is there a solid stemmed sawfly resistant option left?

If they don't meet CWRS criteria how did they ever get registered in the first place?

So I am now forced to buy new seed again.

Not real crazy about that. Or finding one with a shelf life not dictated by graincos.

I thought they said there was no problem with our quality when they were questioned by customers.
We have 8 classes 1 interm now 1 more = 10 classes. How is the system going to keep all separate and still be able to move to market?

Just another feather in the hat for seed growers. They have to change the varieties so we all have to buy new seed under the new seed rules. I can't see how you can change the classification of something that has worked good for years as a high quality milling wheat.

No KVD how are they going to police x contamination at producer or in system?
If there is a price diff between Unity and CWRS you can bet someone will be delivering to elevator or elevator will be blending into wrong class.

Can anyone tell me how Hudye Farms made out with charges of delivering wrong varieties into wrong class?

I would be amazed if higher yielding GP classes like Pasteur havent already slipped into the CWRS stream. Make it more complex and it'll only get worse.

If they are moving those varieties into a lower grade so the customer can buy better quality at lower price. The race to the bottom begins.
