Filled canola went down a bit and twisted! Barley lodged and some early hrs! One nice part is only got 3/4 of a inch last night and west of us 10 miles 3.5 were back to ground capacity full but hopefully today doesn't materialize and all is good, no great!

Usually after the first rain event if warm dry spell follows much of the lodged crop will stand back up.It is usually the second and third rain event that causes the most damage on crops and seeding conditions. If it pours with the wind they are predicting.I admit will not be pretty on the heavy crops.

Complaining about rain and weather is one of the most useless things to do.
Live with it or get the heck out of the farming business.

True Wilagro. Can't argue your logic.

But can we say it's not at the best time?

You are a heartless bastard and taking the only conversation I can have away today. Lol.

That remark was in good fun much like I say it to a neighbor. No offense intended.

2 inches south of Biggar, north of Rosetown, west of highway 4. Hanover belt only for rains coming from west. This rain came from south. Very thankful for it and could use 2 more.

1.5-2 inches in our area , central mb, but lots of wind with it. Cereals took it the worst. Flat and twisted. Flax flat too but hoping it comes back up. Heard 5-6 inches in places like virden and tilston plus the tornado. Wild weather. Some areas way too wet now and lots of crop loss.

Point of this thread is rain at August 1 or close won't give positive results its to late for the dry areas will regrow! In wetter lodge and flooding will take yield! This 4 inch rain event is a negative!
