    Used Shell for years.
    Looked thicker and darker.
Went to JD plus 50 when suppliers all moved out.
    Started with Walmart trans hydraulic.
    Now use mostly Walmart.
Can't imagine a company that size would supply a commodity based product of less than good quality and risk the problems that it would get.
Doesn't oil all come from a hole in the ground and go into a common pipeline?

They obviously don't make their own. I would think the biggest difference would be in the additives?

Walmart carries a premium 15/40 that meets all the recent manufacturer specs its my go to. A cart is good for up to 5 pails at a time, but u might get funny looks.

I buy the Co-op. I have trouble with the Big Box mentality when it comes to something as important as motor oil. Good quality oil is cheap compared to an engine overhaul. Although I'm not saying which is good quality

I did just about fall over when I did my last barrel pick up at the Co-op though

I like the best oil I can buy. All cars use synthetic, changed on time. A small price to pay to protect expensive motors.
