    Environment Canada Satellite

If you check the satellite right now, you will see a huge storm system coming straight for us from Montana- animate it, and watch how it tracks. You will notice the oddest trajectory as it comes to the border, it stalls. . How does it know that it can't get through customs? LOL

COLD DRY bubble stuck on the prairies, strange shit indeed. Looks so obvious on satellite. Only wait for the DOME to break!

Is the "Dome of Dryness" like the "Cone of Silence"?

yep those animated frames sure tell a story about the power of an Omega block. In 1980, the very same pattern hung around until July 19, but it was hot and windy, grasshoppers, wireworm, sod webworm in the lawns. The late seeded crops and lentils were beautiful. The cereals never tillered and even with a straight cut header, son as they were touched they tipped over. But holy smokes, when the rain started in July, we realized that the weeds were waiting in anticipation of the good drink. Those who didn't spray during the drought weren't pleased with the weedy mess that came through the light stand.

It's like the little engine that could, the Goes-West Animation shows it's really trying hard to break through. Let's all go wash the car.

Cut some hay, leave trucks untarped, take shingles off a roof...

I'll leave a pallet of canola seed outside tonight if that makes it rain.

Significant rain for Southern Manitoba this afternoon into Wednesday morning.

A low pressure system in North Dakota will intensify and track slowly northeastward over the next 24 hours. Significant rainfall will occur over much of Southern Manitoba with widespread amounts of 25 to 45 mm expected. The more significant amounts will be along and south of the Trans Canada Highway corridor. Rain will spread northward from North Dakota early this afternoon with the heaviest rainfall expected tonight. Rain should taper off from west to east on Wednesday as this system slowly tracks east. Rainfall amounts will be quite variable as thunderstorms are also expected with this system, especially over southeastern areas of the province. Locations that fall under a slow moving thunderstorm will likely pick up over 50 mm of rain in a short period of time
