Seems like it was cold across all the north side of farm belt in Saskatchewan. Regina was just at 1

Dropped to 0 at 11 pm. Dropped as low as -4 from 4 to 6 am. Now it's 0 degrees with the sun.

      That was a kill frost

Yup , everything here froze stiff, canola already black and mushy to the touch in cereal stubble. Peas were snapping off

I've only literally been kicked in balls once in my life when I was young. Unfortunately, I get that same feeling farming. Between frosts, bugs, hail, wind drying soil out or destroying swaths or buildings, too much or not enough rain, selling grain, ....

I don't know why I continue to do it.... too stupid to know better?

Minus 2.2 here last night but at 7a.m. and there is still white frost on south side of shop roof. How can thus not do damage?

Making plans already to line up seed and extra drills - *** crop ins wait. I have seen enough frost to know when bad enough is bad enough.
