Last night our new Canadian was going strong spaying up a storm till dark. Who is advising this guy really. Also funny a custom sprayer is out spraying all day till dusk yet his own farm he isn't spraying.
Round up does not work when the temp is plus 8 to minus 2 to 3 at night and its going to freeze for the next two nights.
Then these guys complain that the product didn't work.
Go seed spray before it comes up because you now have a three day extension to crop coming up as the seed will just sit their doing nothing at these temps.

I think we are at minus four. I would have a heart attack if i had canola up.

Dumb question what is crop insurance doing nowadays for re seeding?

Low here down to plus 1, high today forecast up to plus 9. Would think the radiant temp at ground/plant level should exceed 10 or even 12 out in the sun.

Would you spray today under those conditions? Working with either roundup or roundup/authority?

WOW, minus 10! Nuts. Is there any concern that the soil at seeding depth may freeze? Or that even un emerged seedlings could get zapped if they are just under the surface? Here, the soil temp is very cold still though, and if it has been seeded, I am sure it has more heat captured. - 10 is cold enough to freeze soil, no. That is crazy cold. It is -2 here. But cloudy. Kinda looking like snow actually.
