And we thought the Terminator was far fetched. The problem with their theory is that they can't always be counted on to repair their tractors. Lease it and let them keep it when the lease is up, recycle.

they must have taken a page from seed co.s playbook .
      never give up ownership.
yes their catch is that they can make it so no one else can fix it legally.

pay forever , sadly our govt.s
enslave the people to these corporations.

The richest man on earth didnt get that way by being old school. You now pay a yearly subscription to use Office. Just the beginning. Thankfully there is some pushback. Who owns your data? Whose cloud is it in?

Once the drive themselves vehicles are standard, the computer will be in complete control. As individuals we will not be responsible for any traffic violations. And there shouldn't be any violations if the puter is working. Sounds all right.

Apparently UPOV91 applies to tractors as well. Now when the tractor turns into fence line junk do you call Deere and tell them to come and get their tractor?

I usually buy the fenceli e junk and run that for another decade. So far so good. Each tractor must have air conditioning and a radio. The "big" tractors get a new air ride seat.
2- 320 hp tractors and a 265 hp tractor for less than $55,000. Its not very pretty but they do what is supposed to be done for a small farm. Maintenance and repairs and tires run about $4000/year so that hurts. Also catastrophic failure is inevitable. In the meantime, keep driving and wait for the next round of really good 4 wds to turn 20 yrs old.

Rostselmash (Russian: Ростсельмаш) is a Russian agricultural equipment company, based in Rostov-on-Don. It was founded in 1929. It primarily produces combine harvesters. The company income in 2005 was 400 million dollars. It used to sponsor a football club that used to be called FC Rostselmash and is, as of 2008, called FC Rostov.

On November 1, 2007, Rostselmash Inc. acquired 80% of the common shares of Versatile and it was announced that the Versatile brand name will again be the sole name associated with the tractor division.

Dmitry Lyubimov, President of Buhler Industries Inc, said the decision to rebrand the tractor division was not taken lightly. “We recognize the history that is tied to the Versatile name. There are still many older Versatile tractors at work on farms around the world. The name stands for well-built tractors that are powerful, simple and easy to maintain. It is the same philosophy we use today and we are proud of that heritage. It is with great pride that we announce that the Versatile name is back.” In 2012 Versatile combines were reintroduced with the RT 490 (sold in Europe as the Torum 740) which is the first mass-produced rotating concave rotary combine. The smaller conventional combines are distributed by Python Manufacturing under the Rostelmash name.

Only in Canada you say! What a wonderful Country... that allowed the Russians to take over Versatile!

That should make many happy Agrivillers!!!

Which Versatile model did Hopperbin have issues with?
How have people found the 2375 or 375?

The 876, 946, 976 seem to be good options for cheap HP.
Apparenly stay away from all 15 speeds....can't get parts for transmissions.

Looking for a old 1150 versatile to make as a rebuild project now that would be more fun than a Deere D.
