    Right Wheat to grow?

The Chinese like white noodles - not so much noodles made from high-protein HRS wheat. Also protein about 12%. Since we need to offer a commodity that will appeal to buyers, what wheat fills the bill?

I was going to grow feed wheat, but may switch to feed barley, based on what the local barns are saying.

Those white noodles could be made of rice. A different taste that wheat cannot replace.

free so the barns want barley again. Time to find some Bonanza or what ever we use to grow. Two crops Barley and Canola.
Or Oats and Canola or Wheat and Canola.
Ah I am so happy its a normal spring.

They always want barley! Yep, bonanza or klages, or norbert, or betzes. Dad grew 90 bushel barley with them in the dry 80's, with no n, a bit of p, no k or s, a bit of mcpa and hoe grass, no fungicide, no seed treatment.

Now, with the new and improved varieties, one still hopes for 90 or so, but only if you babysit the life out of it. Some varietal advancement, huh? 180 bushel barley should be attainable with all the "advancements". lol!
