Read the Following and ask your self WTF is up with Canada!

Oversupply and devalued currencies in key export nations will weigh down prices for the foreseeable future.
Europe’s euro is down about 25% against the US dollar, the Brazilian real has fallen 35% and the Russian ruble has plummeted by 50%. That means growers in those regions are experiencing phenomenal grain prices when sales made in US dollars are converted back to their local currencies.
“They’re inspired to sell,” said Carsten Bredin, vice-president of grain merchandising with Richardson International

Our dollar has lost ground by some 25% yet in Canada we get paid in the pit the same or similar to a USA product in USA Elevator. Yet the representative from Pioneer says Brazil and Russia will do excellent with the lower dollar.

Freight eats up the difference, but as energy prices decline freight costs are going down - bulk ocean freight especially.

Were to passive, we have been conditioned to accept any mistreatment we encounter.

I just find it hilarious that some one from the trade was telling farmers that Russia and Brazil farmers are going to make out like bandits and be able to over produce because of their lower valued dollar. Yet in Canada where our dollar basically has crashed their is no mention of how were going to make out like bandits. No us sheep just wait for what's around that next corner at the lovely slaughter house. PING lights out.

Currency fx aside, maybe thats how arbitrage in North America works. Or there is some magic rule that says fx doesn't apply to Canadian grains. I wish fx wasn't applied to the new sprayer I'd like to buy.

Fx on the sprayer is an easy calculation.

Not sure why grain has to be so complicated.

Looking at the results from Ritchie's 3 sales yesterday farmers must have some optimism prices looked quite strong.
