    What has happened

    Tax his land,
    Tax his bed,
    Tax the table
    At which he's fed.

    Tax his work,
    Tax his pay,
    He works for peanuts
    Anyway!

    Tax his cow,
    Tax his goat,
    Tax his pants,
    Tax his coat.

    Tax his tobacco,
    Tax his drink,
    Tax him if he
    Tries to think.

    Tax his car,
    Tax his gas,
    Find other ways
    To tax his ass.

    Tax all he has
    Then let him know
    That you won't be done
    Till he has no dough.

    When he screams and hollers;
    Then tax him some more,
    Tax him till
    He's good and sore.

    Then tax his coffin,
    Tax his grave,
    Tax the sod in
    Which he's laid.

    When he's gone,
    Do not relax,
    Its time to apply
    The inheritance tax.

    THINK THIS IS FUNNY?
Not one of these taxes existed 60 years ago, & our nation was one of the most prosperous in the world. We had absolutely no national debt, had a large middle class, and Mom stayed home to raise the kids.

What in "Hell" happened? Can you spell 'politicians?'

And guess what... we are the most prosperous going into future...of the G7 nations today... by many objective standards!

OTTAWA — The 21st century may not exactly belong to Canada, but according to a major world economic body the country is going to do pretty well.

In fact, the Paris-based Organization for Economic Co-operation and Development sees Canada among the world’s leading economic lights over the next 50 years.

In issuing its long-term view of how it expects world economies to unfold, the OECD says Canada will continue to lead the Group of Seven industrialized economies in average annual growth over the next half century.

I won't take credit for poem, had it sent to me.

But fitting, AG is taxed higher than commercial in some cases.

I picked up 3 AG battery for tractor (top large post) paid $20 each, enviro fee.

Wrong ones, returned and got 3 commercial (same batteries) bolt type posts (only diff) paid $10 each enviro fee.

You can thank the welfare state we've become. Everybody wants something for nothing. Entitlement is right. Too easy. I pay my share of taxes, its my privilage....

Our lives are nothing like what they would be under King George III for heavens sake.
The truth about the poem is likely that it was written by a high priced divorce lawyer.
King George could only hang you once.
A good lawyer will insist on drawing and quartering annually.

Actually yes, I do think it is funny.

Looked back for records for April 1st, 1955 (60 years) and BAM!

              $9.2 billion in debt.

But how could this be? You said 60 years ago, there was no debt. Huh!?

Must be your shitty math. Let's double it to 120 years (1895). BAM!

              126.4 Million in debt. Huh!?

So quit feeding this shit that there was no debt before such-n-such a time crap.

Unless of course you were born and live the 3 years after Confederation. In that case, CONGRATULATIONS! You lived a short life in a no-debt country. But oddly enough, shit needed to be built, and there wasn't money to pay for it. So you either go the Egypt/China route, or the New World route.

wouldn't be bad if we took on capital debt to grow the country, but to fight Syria?

And still none of you will look at the Bank of Canada class action law suit... OMG. Our annual interest paid to the IMF and the rest of the banksters exceeds our defence budget. 60 million a day and counting. Trillions of dollars spent needlessly since 1974. Only nation in the G7 with a "public" central bank and the complicit governments of both the PC's and Liberals refuse to use it to stop this madness.

BUT there is nothing you can do...???? MY goodness boys and girls - just keep ignoring the law suit and watch the tax list grow..
