    Another week and no action

Banker tells me 90% are having trouble moving grain, my accountant confirms with similar numbers , crop insurance office also says many challenges for everyone ,
How is this not getting at least a mention on the media?
Once again where are the farm groups?
No return calls from any of the calls to gov offices last week , this is insulting already.

Yep started the push in November 2013. Told them of the problems to come by not acting.

    Just watching the fallout now.

Waiting for my MP at a election thing to put him on the spot. It's all been talked about and studied for decades.

    No action. No vision.

At the cost to the canadian economy.

Canada could have a strong growing economy instead of whining about the low price of oil.

Canada should be positioned to be able to turn the taps off and not miss a beat.

We can't. And won't be able to anytime soon.

          CP and All!

I am sure CNCP would tell us all... we have had great service this winter... they are operating at maximum capacity... therefore best ever service levels and profits!

How could there possibly be any problem for grain growers in western Canada!!!

We need nothing we are told. Our expectations are out of order with reality...

          Solution...

          I am sure,

CN/CP would tell us to lower our expectations!!!

Have a great St Patrick day!!!

And for humour. Ave you seen my wife. I have already lowered my expectations.

            That's just funny.

Ouch! As my wife beats me.

Honestly she would say it right back to me. Just too funny.

              Where are our partners ?
Our crop input suppliers who push to cover all the bases and spend all you can to achieve maximum yield, buy the best seed , spray for disease, top dress blahh blahh blahh
I guess if our partners were to actually say there is a problem it would become apparent they are a big part of it ,
Still in a bad mood here

                  Goodrum and all;

I am not understanding the complaint that our marketing partners have failed to identify the transportation deficiencies encountered this year.

In fact the opposite is really the case. Here is the list of 'The Ag Transportation Coalition'; those that just highlighted the week 29 problems for our grain transportation:

"Ag Transport Coalition members look forward to advancing discussions with Government and collaboration with the railways on next steps to ensure that the rail transportation system is meeting the needs of Canadian businesses, contributing to their competitiveness and supporting economic growth throughout Canada.
                  * The Ag Transportation Coalition is comprised of the Canadian Canola Growers Association (CCGA), the Alberta Wheat Commission (AWC), Pulse Canada, the Manitoba Pulse Growers Association (MPGA), The Western Grain Elevator Association (WGEA), the Canadian Oilseed Processors Association (COPA), the Inland Terminal Association of Canada (ITAC) and the Canadian Special Crops Association (CSCA)."

If there are industry grain marketing partners not involved... who would that be?

Grain growers are represented by many different groups here as well!

Who else needs to speak up?
