I remember cwb logistics, they would plug the elevators with one grade of wheat and then sell a different grade at the coast and then complain that the railroads weren't getting it there in time. And the farmer would pay all the demurrage on the ship through the pool accounts. Oh and then there we sat with our bins full of grain and nowhere to haul it.I prefer the free market. Ianben, do you have a national grain agency in britain that requires you to sell you grain only through them? And then they'll tell you what your gonna get paid for it, you don't have a choice. We could send a few guys over and help you set one up.

What I say when I call is how are the railways preparing for additional capacity required for 2 new potash plants that will come on stream in the next 5 years?

Bethune will need 3 mmt of potash to move to the west coast.

Then I ask about the truck traffic on the highways and if anyone has studied it's cost to be on the public highway system.


Canada is an exporting country. To move bulk logistics to the public highway system is idiotic at best.
