In my opinion, Manitoba should make the Morden/Winkler/Carman area the goal for the entire province to become. The south central region has a booming economy with virtually no unemployment, a very low crime rate and great work ethic full of entrepreneurs and great businesses.

Winnipeg on the other hand has been the murder capital of Canada for several years. This crime ridden, NDP voting, low income city is full of free loaders.

Winnipeg needs to strive to become more like Morden or Winkler and less like Quebec.

Nice try Klause, but another fail. Checkoff is $1 higher in MB but i'll save the $1.25 brand inspection we have in AB so still be a quarter ahead. Good example though - Manitoba choosing not to introduce brand inspection which would cost producers $millions a year when only 55-60 cattle are proven stolen each year (MCPA figures)

Meanwhile in AB we continue to implement this ridiculous system, rooted in the 1800s, an animal welfare issue, at great cost even after two court case judges decreed that brands did not constitute proof of ownership.
Who is the progressive province in this scenario?

          Stonepicker

Reread my posts I never compared Ab to Mb once. I did say Ab roads are better than Mb. Not sure how you came to that conclusion.

          Klaus, Stonepicker, Oliver88.

Here are the latest stats. Sk and Regina top both categories. But, I as a Manitoban take NO pride in Wpg coming in second. The prairie provinces cities all have a crime problems. Not a good thing for any of us.

Yes I did copy and paste from Google but all the sites were saying the same thing.

Regina has highest crime and murder rate in Canada ...

Jul 23, 2014 - Regina's 3.8 homicides per 100000 people was the worst in the country, with Winnipeg second at 3.2 homicides per 100000 people.
